Impact Cancer Awards

The WGCA recognizes those who contribute in a special and unique way to its mission and goals by conferring one of the awards outlined below. To be eligible to receive a WGCA Award a candidate needs to be an active member of the WGCA in good standing and exhibit outstanding merit in one of the following ways.

Ambassador

To become an Ambassador, a candidate must a) volunteer to spend 3 months in a developing country serving, studying, teaching and contributing to solving local issues contributing to cancer-specific cancer and allied health problems in women and/or b) contribute $1000 or more to the WGCA to support it important work in developing countries.

Pacesetter

To be eligible to become a Pacesetter, a candidate must show: a) a willingness to spend one year in a developing country serving, studying, teaching and solving local and/or regional problems associated with gender-specific cancer and allied health problems in women and/or b) contribute $10,000 or more to the WGCA to support its important work in developing countries.

Visionary

To be eligible to become a Visionary, a candidate must show: a) an outstanding contribution that effects a profound and significant change in the way women with gender-specific cancer and allied health problems are cared for in developing countries and/or b) contribute $100,000 or more to the WGCA to support its important work in developing countries.

Mapmaker

To be eligible to become a Mapmaker, a candidate must exhibit: a) an extraordinary contribution that effects a profound and significant change in the way women with gender specific cancer and allied health issues are cared for in developing countries and/or b) contributes $1,000,000 or more to the WGCA in support of its important work in developing countries.
